Dear Parents,
For those of you, whom I have not yet met, let me introduce myself. I am Kathy Paladino, the Theater Director at CMHS/MS. Hopefully by now, you are aware of your child’s part in the fall play ”A Pirate’s Life for Me”. This is our first ever Middle School production and we are all very excited about it. You will find a schedule of rehearsal dates and times on our website, www.cmhsdrama.org. It is updated weekly, so check it often. Please let me know in advance of any time that your child will not be able to attend a scheduled rehearsal.
A few important things for you to keep in mind:
*The performance dates are May 28th at 7 pm and May 30th at 2 pm and 7pm and May 31th at 7pm.
*Because of sport schedules, we will need to have many rehearsals in the evening. I know this is sometimes difficult. Evening rehearsals will be over by 7:30 or 8:00.
*There will be time for your child to study during rehearsals. It is their responsibility to bring the appropriate materials.
*From May 18th-May 27th we will have our Technical/Dress rehearsals. There will be a Saturday rehearsal May 23rd and a rehearsal on Memorial Day, May 25th. These are mandatory rehearsals for the entire cast! Please let me know ASAP if this is a problem. .
*There is a $75 fee for participation in the play. This is due by April 27th. You may also sell program ads to cover the cost. Contact me with any concerns you may have regarding the fee.
*Parent support and help are vital to the success of our productions. We have an incredible group of parents and I thank you all for the generous gifts of your time, talents, and resources.
